Youth pollster warns: Graduating into a recession can carve financial scars that don't heal for decades

Nearly two-thirds of college students say they would attend in-person college classes if campuses reopen in the fall--even if there is no coronavirus vaccine or cure, according to a new College Reaction poll.

The biggest question currently facing colleges and universities is whether they will allow students back on campus for the fall semester. And, if they do, what safety measures will need to be put in place as a result. According to a new College Reaction/Axios poll, students say they'd be fine with not partying as long as they're able to return to campus.

College students overwhelmingly plan to return to campus this fall if their schools are open - and they claim they'll sit out the fun even if it's available, according to a new College Reaction/Axios poll.

A poll from Axios and College Reaction offered a ray of sunshine: Nearly 80% of students said they wouldn't attend parties like those held before COVID-19 if they happen.

The figures mirror those in polls of student attitudes about returning to campus: A survey conducted by College Reaction last month found that 65% of students would attend in-person classes, while 31% would prefer virtual classes and 4% temporarily opt out of classes altogether.

The survey from College Reaction has Warren leading a field of potential choices with 28%. Trailing her is California Sen. Kamala Harris at 19% and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams with 13%.

Warren was the pick of 28 percent in the Axios-College Reaction poll released Tuesday, compared to 19 percent for Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), who is African American and Indian American.
